Seychelles has no visa for Nigerians. You still pay before you fly.

Seychelles is one of the easiest trips you can take on a Nigerian passport. There is no visa to apply for. But there is one thing you must do online before you fly, and people who skip it pay more at the airport.

No visa, a free permit on arrival

Nigerians do not need a visa for Seychelles. You get a free visitor permit when you land, for up to 90 days depending on what you show the officer.

The one thing you must pay for first: the Travel Authorisation

Every visitor needs a Travel Authorisation before departure. It is not a visa, but you cannot board without it.

• Apply only on the official site: seychelles.govtas.com
• The standard option is listed at €10. With fees added at checkout, I paid €12 for standard on my own trip in August 2026.
• If you arrive without one, there is a €30 penalty at the airport.

Be careful with lookalike websites. Several sites offer to "process" the Travel Authorisation for you and charge far more than €10. If the address is not seychelles.govtas.com, close it.

What the form asks for

Have these ready before you start:

• Your passport
• A confirmed place to stay (a hotel or guesthouse booking)
• A return or onward ticket
• Proof you can pay for your stay

These are real bookings, not PDFs somebody made for you. The officer can check them.

If an agent quotes you for a Seychelles visa

There is no Seychelles visa for a Nigerian passport. The only official cost before you fly is the Travel Authorisation, and you can do it yourself on your phone in a few minutes.
